road trip (2020)

Done for a book illustration class, the assignment was to mock up a double page spread for a specific audience. To make effective use of the space, I decided to convey the story of when I moved from Los Angeles to Winnipeg with my family when I was 4 years old. Looking back, it’s funny that I chose to illustrate it in such a kid-friendly style, when the trip was not friendly by any means to me, an actual child, but the whimsy suits the way I like to retell the story.
