Trailblazer (2021)

Part of my Illustration thesis, “Trailblazer” examines the premise raised by several in the hockey community that Sidney Crosby was responsible for accelerating the speed at which NHL hockey is played today, which has ramifications not only for Crosby, but for the health and safety of players everywhere as leagues begin to emulate the NHL’s style of play. In the background, notable individuals include Nathan Mackinnon, Connor McDavid, Elias Pettersson, and Jason Spezza.
